In collaboration with Liverpool Arab Arts Festival, ERL is pleased to announce hosting a day of associated activity relating to Father Tongue and Impressions from an Archive.

In this practical monotype workshop artist Tarek Mourad will introduce printmaking methods informed by his work as an artist and director of Beirut Printmaking Studio. All materials will be provided.

Beirut Printmaking Studio is the only open printmaking studio in Lebanon that covers all forms of analogue printmaking, including intaglio, lithography, relief, alternative processes and darkroom photography. The studio aims at promoting and establishing analogue techniques in Lebanon, especially printmaking techniques.

Tarek Mourad is an artist, director of Beirut Printmaking Studio and part-time instructor at Lebanese International University.
